(ENG) Today, The China Cultural Center in Copenhagen launches the microfilm series “Better Tourism, Better Life, Better World” co-produced by World Tourism Alliance (WTA) and China Global Television Network (CGTN) of China Media Group. Based on the “WTA Best Practice in Poverty Alleviation through Tourism”, the microfilm series showcases how poverty-stricken areas in China have been lifted out of poverty via the country’s tourism development. The trip spans five provinces and goes deep into China’s grassroots villages. By telling real-life stories, the microfilm series is divided into 8 episodes, covering Jiangbian Village in Guangxi, Congjiang County in Guizhou, Xiao Nanjing Village in Anhui, Zhongliao Village in Hainan, Nanyu Village in Hebei, Bama Yao Autonomous County in Guangxi, Shenshan Village in Jiangxi, Longtan Village in Fujian, etc. Among them, Bama Yao Autonomous County in Guangxi is one of the designated poverty alleviation counties by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Baseret på ”WTA’s Bedste Praksis inden for Fattigdomsbekæmpelse gennem Turisme” viser videoserien, hvordan fattigdomsramte områder i Kina er blevet løftet ud af fattigdom via landets turistudvikling. Turen spænder over fem provinser og går dybt ind i Kinas græsrodsbyer. Der fortælles historier fra det virkelige liv. Videoserien opdeles i 8 episoder herunder Jiangbian Landsby i Guangxi, Congjiang Amt i Guizhou, Xiao Nanjing Landsby i Anhui, Zhongliao Landsby i Hainan, Nanyu Landsby i Hebei, Bama Yao Autonome Amt i Guangxi, Shenshan Landsby i Jiangxi, Longtan Landsby i Fujian osv. Blandt dem er Bama Yao Autonome Amt i Guangxi et af de udpegede amter med fokus på fattigdomsbekæmpelse, udvalgt af det Kinesiske Ministerium for Kultur og Turisme.
(ENG) Today, we will bring you the first episode “Jiangbian Home – Jiangbianzhai in Guangxi Province”. Fighting against poverty has always been a daunting and lasting mission in China. Among various sectors in the economy, tourism has played a key role in the national poverty alleviation endeavor. Especially in many central and western provinces, rural tourism has helped boost the local economy and achieve rural revitalization. The Jiangbianzhai of Jinjiang Village is located next to the Longji Rice Terraces, a famous tourist attraction in Longsheng County, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in southern China. Restricted by the conditions of social and economic development, the people of Jiangbianzhai in Jinjiang Village have been struggling due to economic weakness and local population exodus. In 2017, there were only 168 people in 38 households.
(DAN) I dag præsenterer vi den første episode “Jiangbian Hjem – Jiangbianzhai i Guangxi Provins”. Bekæmpelse af fattigdom har altid været en enorm og varig opgave i Kina. Blandt forskellige sektorer i økonomien har turisme spillet en nøglerolle i den nationale indsats for fattigdomsbekæmpelse. Især i mange centrale og vestlige provinser har turisme i landdistrikter været med til at styrke den lokale økonomi og opnået revitalisering af landdistrikterne. Jiangbianzhai i Jinjiang Landsby ligger ved siden af Longji-Risterrasser, en berømt turistattraktion i Longsheng Landsby i Guilin i Guangxi Zhuang Autonome Region i det sydlige Kina. Begrænset af betingelserne for social og økonomisk udvikling, har befolkningen i Jiangbianzhai i Jinjiang Landsby kæmpet hårdt på grund af økonomisk svaghed og lokalbefolkningens udvandring. I 2017 var der kun 168 mennesker fordelt i 38 husstande.
(ENG) In order to better show the original lifestyle of the village, the local government initiated the promotion of homestay program through tourism, in cooperation with the platform of Airbnb and has created a batch of rural homestays with local cultural characteristics and modern accommodation conditions, providing tourists with a unique accommodation experience. Under the Airbnb Longsheng rural tourism poverty alleviation project, the villagers are offered, among other things, course trainings, which include training on the hospitality services, basic English skills and knowledge of digital devices. This homestay program initiated by the local government has brought higher paying jobs to the villagers and have gradually lifted the villagers out of poverty.
(DAN) For bedre at vise landsbyens oprindelige livsstil iværksatte den lokale regering promovering af homestay-programmet gennem turisme i samarbejde med platformen Airbnb og har skabt en række overnatningssteder på landet med lokale kulturelle karakteristika og moderne boligforhold, som giver turister en unik hjem og oplevelse. Under Airbnb Longsheng-projektet for fattigdomsbekæmpelse af landdistrikterne gennem turisme får landsbyboerne blandt andet tilbudt kurser, der inkluderer kurser i gæstfrihedstjenester, basale engelsk sprogkundskaber og viden om digitale enheder. Dette homestay-program, der blev indledt af den lokale regering, har bragt højere betalende job til landsbyboerne og har gradvist løftet landsbyerne ud af fattigdommen.
(ENG) Rural homestay program, which can put the idle resources in the countryside to better use, represent an important means to promoting rural revitalization and increasing the income of villagers. The scattered land and human resources of the ethnic minority villages are connected with the information of the global tourism market. The six elements of tourism, i.e., “food, accommodation, travel, sightseeing, shopping and entertainment”, are linked together to construct a full-industrial-chain product system covering “tourism, agriculture and commerce” and harness the power of tourism in promoting poverty alleviation. By exploring the poverty alleviation model that combines sharing economy with tourism, Jiangbianzhai in Jinjiang Village has taken the first step in rural revitalization.
(DAN) Homestay-programmet med fokus på landdistrikterne udnytter de inaktive ressourcer på landet, hvilket er en effektiv måde og har en vigtig betydning i at fremme revitalisering og øge landsbyboernes indkomst på landet. De spredte jord og menneskelige ressourcer i landsbyerne med etniske mindretal er forbundet med oplysningerne i det globalt turistmarked. De seks elementer i turismen, dvs. ”mad, bolig, rejse, sightseeing, shopping og underholdning”, er knyttet sammen for at opbygge et produktsystem med fuld industriel kæde, der dækker “turisme, landbrug og handel” og udnytte turismens magt i at bekæmpe fattigdommen. Ved at udforske fattigdomsbekæmpelsesmodellen, der kombinerer fælles økonomi med turisme, har Jiangbianzhai i Jinjiang Landsby taget det første skridt i revitalisering af landdistrikterne.
