In order to promote cultural exchanges and mutual learning, and tighten people-to-people bonds between different countries, China Soong Ching Ling Foundation launches the 2022″Junior Cultural Ambassadors” Event. The event is expected to build a platform for young people all over the world to make acquaintances with each other both online and offline and bring out more junior cultural ambassadors who would make their own share of contributions to people-to-people exchanges.
The first China Soong Ching Ling Foundation “Junior Cultural Ambassadors” Event held from June 2021 to February 2022 was concluded with great success. The event, along with other rich and colorful activities, saw enthusiastic participation of young people from 32 countries and 5 continents, which has received increasing attention and positive feedback from the public.
The 2022 event, under the theme of “Get Connected Through Art: My Favorite Chinese Arts”, encourages young people to exchange ideas and tell stories about Chinese culture by videos. With the support of the Bureau of International Exchange and Cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China and Guangming Online, the event is hosted by the China Soong Ching Ling Science & Culture Center for Young People and China Cultural Centers Overseas. Dear young friends at home and abroad,
Exchange among civilizations spurs diversity, mutual learning promotes the richness of civilizations. Different civilizations complement each other and together constitute a world that blooms with cultures. In order to further strengthen communication and understanding and write a new chapter of friendship among young people around the world, China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, with the support of the Bureau of International Exchange and Cooperation, Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, and working together with China Cultural Centers Overseas, is delighted to invite teenagers aged 13 – 16 around the world to participate in the 2022 China Soong Ching Ling Foundation “Junior Cultural Ambassadors” Event. IV. Participants Eligibility
Teenagers aged 13 and 16 (born between January 1st, 2006 and December 31st, 2009) are eligible to participate.
V. Awards
1. Title of “Junior Cultural Ambassador”
A total of 30 “Junior Cultural Ambassadors” will be selected and awarded certificates and prizes.
2. Excellence Award
Certificates and prizes of “Excellence Award” will be presented to 30 teenagers.
3. Excellent Organizer Award
Institutions that actively promote teenagers to participate in activities and perform outstandingly, will be conferred with the Excellent Organizer Award.
4. Others
Other awards such as the Popularity Award will be set up when necessary, and commemorative certificates will be awarded to participants.
VI. Entry Format
1. Languages
It is recommended to use UN working languages in the video. These include Chinese, English, French, Russian, Arabic, and Spanish. Participants who are not of Chinese origin using Chinese, will be given extra points during the review.
2. Video Length
The total duration of the video should be less than 4 minutes. The duration of the self-introduction and ending part of the video should be less than 1 minute, and that of the main body should be no longer than 3 minutes.
3. Content

(2) Main body: Videos should be created under the theme of “Get Connected Through Art: My Favorite Chinese Arts”. Participants could show Chinese art in the fields of painting, calligraphy, music instruments, opera, architecture, costumes, folk arts and crafts, etc., or tell their stories about Chinese arts through writing, performing, producing, etc. The video shall be rich in content, closely linked to the theme of Chinese art, beautifully produced, and have strong expressiveness and appeal.

4. Video Format
The video should be clear, stable, well-composed, and the image should be synchronized with the sound. The video should be an uncompressed .avi, .mov, .wmv or .mpg file. The resolution ratio should be 1920×1080, and the video must be shot in landscape (widescreen panoramic). Non-original videos will not qualify, and please do not add watermarks or subtitles to the video.
VII. Online Registration
1. A registration port is now available on the web-page of the event. Applicants should fill in the registration information online and submit videos as required.

VIII. Online Display and Poll
A web-page for the 2022 “Junior Cultural Ambassador” Event has been created on the website of Guangming Online (https://topics.gmw.cn/node_145214.htm). Outstanding entries will be displayed on the web-page and polled. Detailed arrangements will be announced later.
IX. Review and Award-Giving
The entries submitted will be subject to preliminary review, online display and poll, and a final review by professionals before the awards are determined. The award ceremony will be held in December 2022. More information will be released from the web-page of the event.
X. Other Matters
1. The entries should be consistent with the theme of the event, featuring healthy and positive content, and demonstrate understanding and enthusiasm for Chinese arts.
2. All entries submitted should be original and with no infringement of the copyright, patent rights, trademark rights, reputation rights, and/or other legal rights of any third party. In the case of any unqualified entry, the organizer has the right to unilaterally cancel qualifications of participation or awards at any point.
3. The submission of video is deemed as authorization for the sponsor and the organizer to use the content of video for editing, online and offline publicity and display, among others.
4. Any matters not covered herein will be further announced as necessary. The China Soong Ching Ling Science & Culture Center for Young People reserves the right of final interpretation of this announcement.

For at fremme kulturelle udvekslinger og gensidig læring, og styrke det sociale bånd mellem forskellige lande, lancerer det kinesiske Soong Ching Ling Fonden 2022 “Junior Kulturambassadører”-eventet. Formålet med eventet er at opbygge en platform for unge mennesker over hele verden til at stifte bekendtskab med hinanden både online og offline, og bringe flere unge kulturambassadører frem, som vil yde et bidrag til kulturelle udvekslinger.
Soong Ching Ling Fondens “Junior Kulturambassadører”-eventet blev for første gang afholdt i juni 2021 til og med februar 2022, og blev afsluttet med stor succes. Eventet kørte sammen med andre rige og farverige aktiviteter, og der var stort engagement og deltagelse af unge mennesker fra 32 lande fra fem kontinenter, hvilket har fået stigende opmærksomhed og positiv feedback fra offentligheden.
I års event, under temaet “Get Connected Through Art: My Favorite Chinese Arts”, opfordrer unge mennesker til at udveksle ideer og fortælle historier om kinesisk kultur gennem videoer. Eventet støttes af Det Internationale Udveksling og Samarbejdsbureau under Det Kinesiske Ministerium for Kultur og Turisme og Guangming Online, og er arrangeret af Soong Ching Ling Videnskabs- og Kulturcenter for Unge Mennesker samt det kinesiske kulturcenter i forskellige lande. VI. Krav til Formater
1. Sprog
Det anbefales at bruge FN’s arbejdssprog i videoen. Disse omfatter kinesisk, engelsk, fransk, russisk, arabisk og spansk. Deltagere, der ikke er af kinesisk oprindelse, men bruger kinesisk, vil få ekstra point under bedømmelsen.
2. Videolængde
Den samlede varighed af videoen bør være mindre end fire minutter. Varigheden af introduktion om sig selv og den afsluttende del af videoen bør være mindre end et minut, og hoveddelens varighed bør ikke være længere end tre minutter.

(2) Hoveddel: Videoer skal oprettes under temaet “Get Connected Through Art: My Favorite Chinese Arts”. Deltagerne kan enten vise kinesisk kunst inden for maleri, kalligrafi, musikinstrumenter, opera, arkitektur, kostumer, folkekunst og kunsthåndværk osv., eller fortælle sine historier om kinesisk kunst gennem skrivning, optræden, produktion osv. Videoen skal være rig på indhold, tæt knyttet til temaet kinesisk kunst, smukt produceret, og har stærk udtryksevne og appel.
(3) Afslutning: De bedste ønsker til eventet
4. Videoformat
Videoen skal være klar, stabil, velkomponeret, og billedet skal være synkroniseret med lyden. Videoen skal være en ikke komprimeret .avi-, .mov-, .wmv- eller .mpg-fil. Opløsningsforholdet skal være 1920×1080, og videoen skal optages i landskab (panorama i bredformat). Ikke-originale videoer kvalificerer sig ikke, og man må ikke tilføje vandmærker eller undertekster til videoen.

1. Porten til registrering er nu tilgængelig på eventets hjemmeside. Ansøgere skal udfylde registreringsoplysningerne online og indsende videoer som krævet.

IX. Anmeldelse og prisuddeling
De indsendte bidrag vil blive genstand for foreløbig bedømmelse, online visning og afstemning og en endelig bedømmelse af fagfolk, før priserne bestemmes. Prisoverrækkelsen vil blive afholdt i december 2022. Mere information kommer senere på eventets hjemmeside.
X. Andre Forhold
1. Bidragene skal være i overensstemmelse med eventets tema, have sundt og positivt indhold og demonstrere forståelse og entusiasme for kinesisk kunst.
2. Alle indsendte bidrag skal være originale og uden krænkelse af ophavsret, patentrettigheder, varemærkerettigheder, omdømmerettigheder og/eller andre juridiske rettigheder tilhørende tredjepart. I tilfælde af enhver ukvalificeret deltagelse har arrangøren ret til ensidigt at annullere kvalifikationer for deltagelse eller præmier på ethvert tidspunkt.
3. Indsendelse af video anses for at være autorisation for sponsoren og arrangøren til at bruge videoens indhold til blandt andet redigering, online og offline omtale og visning.
4. Eventuelle forhold, der ikke er dækket heri, vil blive meddelt yderligere efter behov. Det kinesiske Soong Ching Ling Videnskabs- og Kulturcenter for Unge Mennesker forbeholder sig retten til den endelige fortolkning af denne meddelelse.
