On May 18th, the China Cultural Center in Copenhagen and the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, Television, Tourism, and Sports presented the “Yaji in Copenhagen – Lanting Culture Salon” event. This gathering marked both the 74th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Denmark with an exhibition of historical photographs and celebrated the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the China Cultural Center in Copenhagen.
ZHENG Wen, director of the China Cultural Center in Copenhagen, revisited major historical events and the Sino-Danish relationship. He introduced the theme “Lanting Culture Salon”, emphasizing the traditional Chinese philosophical concept of “unity of human and nature”. Guests were treated to a rich cultural program, including elegant music, tea and incense ceremonies, calligraphy, and traditional cuisine, each showcasing the depth of Chinese aesthetics.
The event featured performances by ZHUANG Xinru on the guqin, GAO Yiran on the bamboo flute, and a guzheng duet by LIAO Qianman and MA Baiyi, which captivated the audience with classical Chinese melodies. Additionally, the tea and incense performances, led by ZHUANG Xinru and MA Chenghe, showcased the integration of calligraphy with tea and the intricate art of incense sealing, which created a serene and culturally enriching atmosphere.
The calligraphy session provided guests a hands-on opportunity to engage with Chinese art. This event also marked the third calligraphy-themed Yaji hosted by the China Cultural Center in Copenhagen in 2024.

Den 18. maj præsenterede vi i samarbejde med Shenzhen Kommunale Bureau for Kultur, Broadcasting, Television, Turisme og Sport eventet “Yaji i København – Lanting Kultursalon”. Denne begivenhed markerede både 74-årsdagen for de diplomatiske forbindelser mellem Kina og Danmark med en udstilling af historiske fotografier samt tiårsdagen for etableringen af Det Kinesiske Kulturcenter i København.
ZHENG Wen, direktør for Det Kinesiske Kulturcenter i København, gennemgik vigtige historiske begivenheder og Kinas diplomatiske relationer med Danmark. Han præsenterede temaet “Lanting Kultursalon” og fremhævede det traditionelle kinesiske filosofiske koncept om “menneske og natur i harmoni”. Gæsterne blev forkælet med et rigt kulturelt program, der omfattede elegant musik, te- og røgelsesceremonier, kalligrafi og traditionel kinesisk mad, hver især fremvisende dybden af kinesisk æstetik.
Eventet omfattede optrædener af ZHUANG Xinru på guqin, GAO Yiran på bambusfløjte samt en guzheng-duet af LIAO Qianman og MA Baiyi med klassiske kinesiske musik. Derudover demonstrerede te- og røgelsesceremonierne, udført af ZHUANG Xinru og MA Chenghe, integrationen af kalligrafi med te og den detaljerede kunst i røgelsesforsegling, hvilket skabte en fredfyldt og kulturelt berigende atmosfære. Kalligrafisessionen tilbød gæsterne en praktisk mulighed for at dykke ned i kinesisk kunstkultur. Dette event var også det tredje kalligrafi-centrerede Yaji event, som blev afholdt af Det Kinesiske Kulturcenter i København i 2024.
