On May 10, 2025, the “Flowing Naturally” art exhibition, co-hosted by the China Cultural Center in Copenhagen and the Network of International Culturalink Entities, officially opened. Centered on the theme of “Nature and Philosophy,” the exhibition features over 30 contemporary Chinese artworks, including paintings, mixed-media installations, and digital visuals, attracting widespread participation from Danish art professionals and the public.

At the opening ceremony, Mu Xianghong, Director of the China Cultural Center in Copenhagen, emphasized in her welcome speech, “harmony between humanity and nature” not only embodies the wisdom of Chinese civilization but also aligns deeply with Denmark’s sustainable development practices. The exhibition also commemorates the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Denmark, further enhancing bilateral cultural exchanges.

Professor Lu Zhengyuan from the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) of China, delivered a keynote presentation interpreting the philosophical expression of “Dao operating through nature” in Chinese art. He highlighted the influence of traditional techniques like negative space and the interplay of “emptiness” and form on contemporary creation. Artist Fan Xueyi’s digital artwork Four Seasons reimagines classical ink landscapes through dynamic visuals, integrating the ecological philosophy of “walkable, viewable, traversable, habitable” into the cyclical rhythm of seasons, showcasing a fusion of tradition and technology.

Danish curators and audiences noted that the exhibition transcends cultural barriers through artistic language, inspiring collective reflection on the harmonious coexistence of humanity and nature.
The exhibition will run until June 1, with free public access on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Group reservations can be made via info@ccccph.org.
