Jointly organized by the China Cultural Center in Copenhagen and the Center for International Cultural and Tourism Exchange, the “Conversation and Connection—Colorful China” cultural series was held in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 10 to 12 June to celebrate the International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations. Distinguished guests attending the events included Chinese Ambassador to Denmark Wang Xuefeng, Ms. Inge Sommer, Director of Sales and Partnerships at Bakken, Ms. Elmiye, Principal of International School of Hellerup, and Mr. Song Fajun, Vice President of South-Central Minzu University.
Through stage performances, school-based cultural activities, and public flash mobs, the series showcased the richness and diversity of Chinese culture to Danish audiences, attracting more than a thousand participants and spectators.

Ambassador Wang Xuefeng delivered remarks at the opening event on June 10, highlighting the importance of intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding. He expressed the hope that art and culture can serve as bridges between people, fostering connection, appreciation, and shared resonance between the peoples of China and Denmark.
At Bakken, one of the world’s oldest amusement parks, audiences enjoyed a vibrant gala featuring traditional music and dance from various Chinese ethnic groups. Intangible cultural heritage demonstrations, including Chinese calligraphy and traditional festive handicrafts, also gained high popularity.
At International School of Hellerup, students and teachers experienced Chinese culture through interactive performances and cultural exchanges, creating meaningful opportunities for engagement and learning.
A cultural flash mob in central Copenhagen brought Chinese music and dance directly into public spaces, drawing enthusiastic crowds and encouraging spontaneous participation. Together, these events highlighted the power of cultural exchange in fostering mutual appreciation and friendship between the peoples of China and Denmark.
